Certification Licensure Accreditation

Taylor University offers a variety of programs leading to licensure in Indiana. Taylor University has been NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) approved since 1962, and all programs are approved by the Indiana Professional Standards Board (IPSB).

The elementary education program requires a minimum of 128 hours. Students are required to complete an elementary education core, professional education courses, general education courses, and electives. The elementary education program encompasses teaching in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.
