Intercultural Studies is just one of several undergraduate programs offered through the Department of Christian Ministries. Other program options include: |
In Ephesians 4:1, Christians are called to "live a life worthy of the calling you have received." At Taylor University Fort Wayne, we adapt each program to fit the purposeful and faith-centered model that Christ has made for us. Here at TUFW you explore - and then experience - your calling. With the strong biblical background and the faith that grows while attending TUFW, you prepare for a life of loving service, no matter where His calling takes you. And the Lord may be asking you to become a missionary. He may be calling you to serve Him overseas or He may ask you to minister in a whole different culture right here in the United States. If you want to study other cultures and learn how to minister to them, Taylor University Fort Wayne can prepare you.
While attending classes at TUFW, you will soon learn that you don't just read about other cultures in the world, you interact with them. The city of Fort Wayne is a center for many immigration groups. Just ten blocks from our campus is a large high school with over 25 spoken languages.
In the Intercultural Studies major, you are given numerous opportunities to participate in off-campus study options as part of your major. In fact, we strongly encourage you to join in as many of these activities that will fit in your schedule. This Intercultural major is designed to provide the foundation for understanding the thinking, practices, and development of minority and non-Western cultures. It provides a basis for working among various ethnic cultures, both within the United States and overseas.
