Programs

The ideals and values of the professions within the field of social work are consistent with Christian ideals and values. Taylor's social work program prepares students to integrate their faith and the practice of social work. It offers the student a well rounded preparation for professional practice based on a Christian liberal arts foundation. It has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1980 to give a general foundation with a Bachelor of Arts degree (language requirement) or a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work.

The person holding a bachelor's degree from Taylor in Social Work can apply knowledge, values, and skills of the social work profession through systemic and systematic needs assessment and the problem-solving process. The practitioner has multiple skills and applies these skills according to the situation. The breadth of skills involves the use of many professional roles by the social work practitioner.
