Find Reserve Materials

Reserve materials are  resources that a professor has asked the library to place in a particular location so that the maximum amount of students can have access to that material. The library has two types of reserve materials:

  1. Overnight/Open reserves may be checked out of the library two hours before closing and returned one hour after opening to avoid an overdue fine of $.50/hour. Open reserves are located at the south end of the main level near the current periodicals and newspapers
  2. Closed Reserves may only be used in the library. These materials are located behind the Circulation Desk and students must use their Taylor ID to check these materials away from the desk.

Any variation of the reserve policies must be approved by the professor, who must contact library staff to indicate his/her approval.

Find a Specific Journal

If you know the title of the journal you wish to find, e.g. if you have a known article citation, use the Taylor Libraries' online Periodical List to find out whether we have this title in print in the English Library's (Fort Wayne) collection, the Zondervan Library's (Upland) collection, or whether we have access to the full-text content of the journal via an online periodical database.

Note that the American Journal of Education is available in full text at both Taylor libraries and on three databases. The "Embargo: 1 year" means that the current year volumes will not be on the database in full text but the FW English Library has the current year.
