Credits-in-Escrow

If you live close to Taylor University Fort Wayne, you have a great opportunity to earn college credits right now – while you’re still in high school!

At Taylor University Fort Wayne, Credits-in-Escrow is a program that gives local high school students, who have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, the chance to take up to two college classes per semester (not to exceed 8 credit hours). Students enrolled in this program may earn a maximum of 24 credit hours. Earning credit while still in high school provides a great "jump-start" on college.

Credits-in-Escrow provides not only college credit, but in some cases, dual credit. High school students may use the same college level course to meet both high school requirements for graduation and earn college credit prior to enrolling as a freshman. Your Guidance Counselor can advise you on what classes will count for dual credit.

Many students who are either locally home educated or attending Fort Wayne area high schools are enrolling in Taylor Fort Wayne’s Credits-in-Escrow program. The cost is only $50 per credit hour for the first 6 credits. If students take 7 or 8, the additional credit(s) will be $250 per hour with an additional $26 student activity fee. Students may choose from general education core classes or classes introducing a specific major (any 100 or 200 level course).
