Meet the Counselor for International Students

I am the Admissions Counselor for you! My name is Kent Morton and I graduated from Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW) in 1998. While I was here, I found that I really enjoyed working with people of other cultures. If you feel God calling you to TUFW, I would love to work with you and help you enroll as a student here. Having been a guest in several different cultures, I know the added stress that living in a different culture can cause. I hope that through a streamlined admission process, we can make your transition to the United States a little easier and little less stressful for you.

There are many ways for an international student to get involved both at TUFW and within the city of Fort Wayne. At TUFW, you may participate in activities on campus, student-led organizations, soccer teams, and more. In the city of Fort Wayne, there are several different festivals during the year, international Bible studies that you can be a part of, international grocery stores, etc. There are lots of ways to make your stay in the US feel a little more comfortable.

I want to help you get a good feel for what it will be like to be a student at Taylor University Fort Wayne. I realize it would likely be difficult for you to visit before arriving on campus, so just e-mail me at knmorton@fw.taylor.edu and ask that I send you back some pictures of the campus.

When your plane finally does land, someone will be there at the airport waiting for you with a big sign that says "TUFW" on it! I will introduce you to some people and make sure that you get settled into your room before classes begin. Then, once classes start, expect the professors to have a love for what they teach, a passion to get to know you, and a desire to help you discover your calling and follow the path God has planned for your life.
