Andrew Pearson
Andrew S. Pearson, 27, of North Port Charlotte, Florida, was tragically killed in an auto accident on Monday, December 29, 2008. Drew had just left his wife, Emily and newborn daughter, Peyton at Cape Coral Hospital. He was the son of James and Linda (Canning) Pearson and brother to Kyle Pearson.
Drew was a graduate of Taylor University where he was senior class president, a member of the varsity basketball team, and a member of the golf team where he received 1st team All American honors. It was his love for golf that took him to Florida where he was the general manager of Bobcat Trail Golf Club. Recently, he had become a PGA Certified Golf Professional.
In May, 2006, he married Emily Holb, daughter of James and Peggy (Wheeler) Holb. Together, they were active members of South Biscayne Church and were excited about the birth of their first child, Peyton McKenzie. Unfortunately, she was only 12 hours old when Drew was taken from us.
Toledo survivors include his loving grandmother, Margaret "Maud" Pearson, Emily's grandmother, Margaret Wheeler, great aunt and uncle, Donna and Ron Dennis, aunt, Lynn Pearson, uncles, Doug (Nikkie) Pearson, Michael (Jennifer) Canning, Dan (Kathy) Canning; cousins, Jessica and Katie Canning, Chase, Lucas and Bailie Canning, and Nate and Cara Pearson.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 9, 2009 at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 East State Blvd., Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Pastor Rick Hawks, officiant. The Pearson family would like to thank everyone for their kindness at this very difficult time. We ask that you keep Emily and "Little Peyton" in your prayers.
