Scott Haddix

Scott Haddix With more wins against NAIA and NCAA Division 3 schools at any other time in program history, the women's volleyball program at Taylor University Fort Wayne has seen a dramatic turn around under the leadership of Coach Scott Haddix. Since August 1997, the program has improved from two or three win seasons to 20+ win seasons in six of the last seven years. Haddix coached the Lady Falcons in the 2005 and 2004 USCAA National Championship matches, finishing second both years, and finishing third in 2003.

Coach Haddix is a graduate of Taylor University Fort Wayne with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education. He has used his degree to touch hundreds, if not thousands, of lives in the Fort Wayne area, across the United States and as far away as Spain, while serving in student ministries through local churches for over fourteen years. Scott has spoken in every Fort Wayne community high school as a volunteer for The Hope Center and has traveled across the country speaking to high school students, and training youth workers. Scott is passionate about seeing young people experience a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ, whether through sport or other encounter. With a prophetic style, bold adherence to truth and honest communication, Scott seeks opportunities to help people experience a different reality than life generally has to offer...a reality that impacts his coaching style and the relationships he has with his players, as well as the relationships the players have with each other.

Coach Haddix has been married to his wife, Anne, for 13 years, and they have three daughters. Anne Haddix played Varsity Volleyball at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. She coached the Lady Falcon volleyball team in 1995 and 1996 while Scott was the assistant coach. The birth of their first daughter, Alexandria, created some coaching challenges for the Haddix family in 1997 so Scott took over the program. Alexandria, now 9 years old, has two younger sisters, Natalya, age eight, and Felicia, age three, and "the girls" are the pride and joy of both parents.

Scott loves athletics and the disciplines involved. At Norwell High School in Fort Wayne, Scott played tennis, basketball and ran track. He played varsity baseball at LeTourneau University and varsity basketball and soccer at Taylor University Fort Wayne. He still finds time to play in a summer baseball league and winter ice hockey league to date. Scott also frequently coaches one or more of his daughters' soccer teams.
