Reporting to the University Provost,
the Institutional Research Analyst provides support for institutional
research and University-wide planning activities. This position is
responsible for collecting, maintaining, forecasting, analyzing,
trending, projecting and reporting institutional data for strategic
planning and assessment purposes.
The analyst responds to surveys and requests for information from federal, state, public, and private agencies. The position annually prepares the University Fact Book in print and web-based formats and coordinates the administration and reporting of the bi-annual alumni survey. In addition, the Institutional Research Analyst provides technical research support, data analysis and reports for the provost and members of the president's council.
Stephen Dayton assumed his duties as Institutional Research Analyst in September 2004 after serving as a market analyst in the business sector for 10 years. He is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and he brings to the University extensive experience in forecasting, quantitative analysis and reporting. Steve and his wife Nancy have three children and reside in Gas City, IN.
