Sherri Harter,
Associate Vice President for Advancement
Sherri (Honorary Alumnus ’01) serves as associate vice president for
advancement. Sherri’s responsibilities include overseeing the
operations of the development, university relations, alumni, marketing and online
communications departments of Taylor University Fort Wayne, which are
responsible for the fundraising and public relations arms of the
University. Sherri has served at TUFW over 20 years in various
positions pertaining to fundraising and public relations. Sherri earned
her MA degree in 2000 from IWU in Marion, Indiana, and a BA degree in
communications from Cornerstone College, Grand Rapids, Michigan. She
and her husband, Ted, currently reside in the Bluffton, Indiana, area
with their two sons, Thad and Tory.

Michael D. Mortensen,
Director of Development and Planned Giving
Michael '91 serves as the Director of Development and Planned Giving. Michael works with alumni and friends to encourage giving to the Fort Wayne Fund, which supports student financial aid. He also builds relationships and assists people with planned gifts including bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, scholarships and capital gifts. He has a distinct background in fund development and networking. Prior to his appointment as director of development and planned giving, he served on the staff at World Partners USA, promoting, recruiting, organizing, equipping and mobilizing short-term mission teams internationally and domestically as their volunteer service coordinator. Previously, Mortensen served at TUFW from 1997-2005 in various development roles, but most recently as the Associate Director for Advancement. Michael and his wife, Christine '92, have four children, Ashlyn (12), Alexandria (8), Anna (6) and David (4) and host two foreign students from South Korea, Jae Koh (18) and Nak Song (17). The family resides in Fort Wayne.

Scott Raymond,
Director of Alumni Relations
Scott '80 assumed the role of Director of Alumni Relations on July 7, 2005. Scott earned his undergraduate degree in biblical studies at Fort Wayne Bible College and his graduate degree in education administration/student personnel from Slippery Rock University. He previously served at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, for 19 years in the area of Student Affairs, his last position as vice president. Scott brings excitement, a vast array of experience and a strong grasp of Christian higher education to the position. He and his wife, Julie (Tyrie '81), live in Fort Wayne and have four daughters - Ashley, Amy, Allyson and Amanda.

James Rediger,
Director of the Fort Wayne Fund
James '01 was appointed to the position of director of the Fort Wayne Fund in August 2006. He develops and coordinates strategic plans for the Fort Wayne Fund, direct mail program, donor stewardship program and Phonathon program. He also plans and coordinates donor events, including Council of 100 Ceremony, Donor Dinner and Employee Appreciation Reception, and oversees the student ambassador program. James has a distinct background in administration, leadership and financial development. Prior to coming to Taylor, he served for two years in the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce's small business department. He served for three years in financial development at the Fort Wayne location of the American Red Cross. Rediger holds an M.A. from Purdue University-Fort Wayne, and a B.A. from Taylor University Fort Wayne.

Deb Shaw,
Coordinator of Advancement Support
As Coordinator of Advancement Support, Deb is responsible for donor receipting and multiple projects within the advancement office. Deb is an 1980 alumnus of Fort Wayne Bible College. Prior to joining the TUFW advancement team in 2006, she served in the music department and for the Community School of the Arts for fifteen years. She continues to take on various piano accompanying jobs on the side. She resides in Fort Wayne with her husband, Allen, and daughter, Allison, who is a senior in high school. She has a son, Brandon, and married daughter, Amber, son-in-law, Daniel, and granddaughter, Lyrric.
