Council of 100

Taylor University Fort Wayne honored a distinctive group of donors, The Council of 100, preceding the Annual Appreciation Dinner, October 16, 2004. The Council of 100 is comprised of donors and friends who have contributed $100,000 or more during their lifetime. Forty-four were inducted into the Council at a private ceremony.

An element of the evening included the unveiling of the Wall of Honor. The Wall of Honor was created to express appreciation and honor to the men, women, businesses and foundations who have sacrificially given to the Fort Wayne campus of Taylor University. The Wall of Honor hangs in the Eicher Student Commons’ vestibule/entrance.

Sherri Harter, associate vice president of advancement shares, "What a delight it was to recognize these individuals for their partnership with us. For some, the partnership has been just a few years, for others, decades. The Council of 100 is a wonderful example of Kingdom-focused stewardship.” The verse chosen for the Wall of Honor resonates the same message. "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:3-6
