Taylor University has entered a strategic partnership with Fort Wayne-based Ambassador Family Enterprises with a goal of determining the next steps for the property and buildings that comprise the Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW) campus. The Taylor University Fort Wayne Professional Writers Lecture Series 2008-09 continues this spring with Ken Wales, a producer of the movie Amazing Grace, and coauthor of The Amazing Grace of Freedom on February 19-20. Taylor University President Dr. Eugene B. Habecker has appointed a team of four administrators to a special TUFW Leadership Transition Team following the resignation of TUFW Chancellor Dr. Duane Kilty. Taylor University officials have announced the resignation of Dr. Duane Kilty as Chancellor at the Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW) campus. The National Association of Teachers of Singing contest was held this past weekend (November 1st) at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Students from all over the state and most of our universities (IU Bloomington, IN Wesleyan, DePauw, etc) were present to sing music from all genres including musical theater. President Habecker has appointed two task forces following yesterday’s announcement to discontinue the traditional undergraduate program on its Taylor University Fort Wayne branch campus on May 31, 2009. Taylor University officials have announced the discontinuation of the traditional undergraduate program on its Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW) branch campus, effective May 31, 2009, and that some yet-to-be-determined programs may be moved to the main campus in Upland. Evan Wood, assistant professor of business, received the John C. Edwards Paper Award for best paper by a graduate student at the 2008 Midwest Academy of Management Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. TUFW is pleased to announce the appointment of Gail Whitenack as the new Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration. The Taylor University Fort Wayne Professional Writers Lecture Series 2008-09 kicks off this fall with two successful authors, Keri Wyatt Kent and Claudia Mair Burney. Kent and Burney will give lectures October 9 and November 20, respectively, at 3 p.m. in Witmer Hall, 1025 W. Rudisill Blvd. These lectures are free and open to the public.

TUFW is hosting a ministry fair Wednesday, September 17 from 10-11 a.m., during the campus's normal chapel time in Eicher Student Commons.
09.10.2008 -  TUFW Hosts "Legacy Days"
TUFW Enrollment Services Office will host "Legacy Days," the first Campus Visitation Days of the new academic year on Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27. Several area colleges will host a cooperative college preview held during ISTEP week, September 16 at Indiana Tech, September 17 at IPFW and September 18 at the University of St. Francis. TUFW will honor ten former athletes and coaches at the inaugural induction into TUFW's Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, September 26, 2008. TUFW will celebrate its annual Homecoming & Parents' Weekend September 26 and 27, 2008. TUFW is partnering with Fellowship Missionary Church for Renewal Week, September 8-13. Renewal Week is held at the beginning of each semester. Taylor University Fort Wayne is partnering with Heartland Church to offer “Presence: Contemporary Worship in the Local Church.” TUFW has named Brenda S. Knipp as Program Director for Teacher Education. TUFW has named Micah Barcalow as Director of Vocational Calling. In his new role, Barcalow will work directly with students, helping them prepare for professional life after graduation. Harmony Wheeler, a junior Professional Writing major at TUFW, is one of five writing students from across the country to win a Robert Walker Scholarship in Christian Journalism for the 2008-2009 academic year. TUFW will welcome new students on Friday, August 22, 2008, at its annual Welcome Weekend. Evening and Saturday class registration for the fall 2008 semester is currently in progress at TUFW and will continue through the first week of classes, which begins Monday, August 25, 2008.
