Kiley Coffman (Vitek)

Kiley (Vitek) g07 married Justin Coffman on March 4,2017 in Edgerton Ohio. Kiley works in the Human Resource Department at CK Technologies.


Sharyn Brisson (Thomas)

Sharyn (Thomas g06) and Matt Brisson had Wesley Zaiden Wayne on December 14, 2016. He weighed in at 6 lbs. and 11 oz. The Brisson’s live in Castle Rock, CO.

Karla Chamness-Eskridge fs1992 passed away on April 3, 2017


Phil Mortensen

Rev. Phil Mortensen g74, 72, earned his Heavenly reward April 3, 2017 in Point Orange, FL after suffering a heart attack. He had been battling Prostate Cancer and undergoing radiation treatments. “Pastor Phil” planted Fellowship Bible Church in 1971, while a student of FWBC. He then planted Love Church in 1986, whose mission was to demonstrate Christ’s love to the poor and needy. In 1999, he and his late wife, Fran Mortensen h99, were named Distinguished Alumni for Urban Ministry. He also served as an instructor at TUFW teaching an Urban Ministries course. Surviving are his wife, Norma, son, Michael (Christine g92) Mortensen g91, director of Fort Wayne Alumni & Friend Relations, his daughter, MaryAnn Goodwell, three step sons, one step daughter, and multiple grandchildren. John Steiner

JOHN A. STEINER g63, 76, went home to be with the Lord he had loved and served so long on Monday, April 3, 2017. Born Oct. 31, 1940 in Bluffton, Ohio, John served Fort Wayne Community Schools as teacher and principal for over 35 years. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Lois Steiner g66; children; SuAnn g88 (Donn) Nichols, Michael (Lynne) Steiner, Shari (Matt) Barcalow; grandchildren Blaine, Keegan, Eli, Isaac, Piper, Natalie, Jaydn, Maggie; siblings, Virginia Witmer, Christine Gerig, Gus Steiner. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Avalon Missionary Church, 1212 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne (IN 46819), with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the church. Arrangements by D.O. Barbara Van Gorkom (Dailey)

Barbara (Dalley) van Gorkom g50, 91, entered the presence of the Lord on April 10, 2017. She is survived by her husband, David g51, who lives in Mandan, ND.
