RESOURCES
Parents' Programs
Parents' Association
All parents of currently enrolled students are automatically members of the Parents' Association, which exists to foster and to cultivate the spirit of a continuing Christian community of parents. A professional staff is provided by the University to help carry out the work of the Parents' Association.
Parents' Cabinet
Parents' Cabinet is a selected leadership body of the association and serves the University in the planning of parent's activities and programs and their execution. The cabinet is not a policy-making body, but one whose chief functions are advisory to the University in matters of parental interest and as a liaison to the larger community in support of the University.
Parents' Weekend
Parents' Weekend at Taylor is three days in the fall, filled with activities that you can enjoy with your family. A brochure outlining all Parents' Weekend activities and reservation information is mailed each year in August. Parents' weekend for the 2007-2008 academic year will be September 28-29, 2007.
Student Emergency Assistance Fund
The Parents Association raises financial resources each year to be allocated for student emergencies. Medical costs not covered by insurance and emergency travel in case of death or severe sickness of immediate family are two most frequent reasons for allocations of this fund. Other emergency costs are subject to review by the dean of students.
The monies for the Emergency Assistance Fund are raised through the Silent Auction during Homecoming & Parents' Weekend.
Church Matching Grant
A great opportunity for your student to have grant money from your local church matched to assist with tuition costs.
